<p>Let me preface this with the disclaimer that I know f&amp;^%-all about the publishing industry, but is it possible that it&#8217;s just Amazon throwing around the weight of its volume discount, and not a prophecy on the book&#8217;s success?  Seems like it&#8217;s pretty unusual for <span class="caps">ANY</span> book to not be discounted from list on that site&#8230;</p>      </div>

<p>Yeah, probably. In fact, I&#8217;m pretty sure you&#8217;re right. It&#8217;s still depressing, though: I&#8217;ve pumped months of my life into this book, and now people can buy it for the price of a round of drinks? Damn it, I want people to <strong>pay</strong> for this! I want them to appreciate their copy of my masterwork, and treat it with care and reverence.</p>


	<p>And, y&#8217;know, if they fancied establishing a small bedroom shrine to my Greatness, that&#8217;d be cool too.</p>      </div>
